Product Description Some say you can't take it with you. Others just refuse to go. Graham Chapman--doctor tall actor self-wrestler and really famous dead guy--is the latter.Chapman has a least 8 movie and TV appearances to his credit since he passed away in 1989 making him the most prolific corpse since Elvis. This DVD GRAHAM CHAPMAN'S PERSONAL BEST makes 9. In a comprehensive tribute written by the 5 other members of the incomparable Monty Python's Flying Circus this program includes the sketches they believe Chapman would have called his very favorites. Of course they could be wrong.System Requirements:Running Time: 55 MinFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: COMEDY Rating: NR UPC: 733961745191 Manufacturer No: AAE-74519

Great Addition to a Monty Python Collection July 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I think Graham Chapman is often very under-valued as a member of the Monty Python troop. This DVD, like all of the ones focused on other members in the "Personal Best" series, focuses specifically on his skits and additions to the group. Although I agree that it could have lasted longer, it still was a great overview of his work. Also, as a Monty Python fan, I didn't view this DVD as a 'completists' version of his skits. It's more like a well-done tribute to Graham. For this reason, I definitely recommend adding this to your Monty Python collection.
many sketches missing portions September 22, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having bought this as a part of the box set of Personal Best disks because I saw that it listed a particular sketch I wanted, I was very disappointed to find out that there are only small portions of many of the sketches. For example, every disk in its intro, references the Argument Clinic sketch, BUT, the sketch is never shown! There are a few seconds of the lead in to the sketch but not the argument itself!
Buy it Cheap March 20, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The material on this disk is very funny. Unfortunately it is only about an hour long. A good portion of this hour is taken up with other Python's reminiscing about Graham. Some of this is interesting & would be fine if the disk were longer. It looks like they even cut some of the skits purely for space issues. This seems ridiculous considering the DVD could easily hold more. (All the Personal Best series run this same length.) My advice is do not pay anywhere near full price for this. If you can get it for really cheap...go for it.
