5 out of 5 stars The Twilight Zone (1986-1988)   September 1, 2008
These updated Twilight Zones (1986-1988) were done so well they had to be added to our DVD collection. The episodes are short in duration, but sometimes that comes in handy when you are waiting for that other good program and/or movie to come on. We also have and recommend the Season 1 DVDs.

5 out of 5 stars wonderful!   June 23, 2008

I LOVE the Twilight Zone, so this was something I had to have.
It did not disappoint me.
Great stories, very entertaining.

5 out of 5 stars Twilight Zone (1980's, seasons 2 & 3)   April 11, 2007

I recorded every episode of this on VHS tape during the 80's when it was first-run. It is OUTSTANDING! It is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better than the UPN series that aired in 2003 or so...buy this if you are a Twilight Zone fan, and don't be surprised if you like it more than the original series...

5 out of 5 stars Episode: The Cold Equations   February 6, 2007

After having been sorely disappointed in the purchase of the feature length version of Tom Godwin's story (see review elsewhere on Amazon), I purchased this set primarily to see the treatment my favorite SciFi short story received. I was ENTHRALLED! The TZ's treatment was almost as good as the original written story (which is difficult to find in published form).
The Cold equations is a story that will haunt you, as it has me.
I was able to have my 20 yo son watch the episode. His reaction to it was similar to my own when I first read the short story in my teens.
Congrats to TZ for a wonderful episode. The words "He was not alone" live!

3 out of 5 stars A worthy successor to Rod Serling's vision   April 16, 2006

The 1980s revival of "The Twilight Zone" had some memorable moments that would stand out in the minds of its viewers. While it did offer some changes (i.e. The Grateful Dead offering its version of the classic theme), all-in-all it was a good follow-on to the classic 1960s series. Purchase it if you are a die-hard TZ fan - if not, its worth a weekend rental.
