Product Description This DVD is divided into several parts:Part one provides a narrated overview of the Big Red One's operations in Vietnam from its arrival in 1965 through the division's return to Fort Riley, Kansas, in 1970. (Please note! the audio in this portion is substandard). Part II is a short segment (approximately 8 min. of Bob Hope's visit to the Big Red One's base camp at Dian in 1965.Part three documents the division's participation in Operation Cedar Falls in 1967. This part is silent.Part four includes footage taken in 1968 and shows the division at Lai Khe in jungle fighting, setting up of overnight camps, and laying mines. The audio is this part is an Armed Forces Radio interview with a soldier stationed in Vietnam with the first.Part five is narrated, focusing on the importance of and problems associated with supplying light and heavy arms and supplies to the soldier on the battlefield. Features the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas, performing maintenance and tests on various weapons during simulated battle conditions. Also documents the division's operations in West Germany. The last segment documents the division's participation in Reforger III, held in Germany in 1970.
