Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Following a discussion about the origins of his bible, Sean Fister provides readers with the 10 Commandments of Distance, which involve: the mechanics of tee heights; maximizing club head speed; ball position in your stance; stance width; shoulder turn; swing arc; rhythm; balance, effort; and follow through. He offers readers 15 exercises to improve strength and swing speed and principles of course management to match the new drive length, including the use of draws and fades. Also includes an equipment review and a discussion about iron play.

5 out of 5 stars Swing concepts and advice   November 8, 2008
better than you would think with some very simple advice regarding the average golfer's biggest swing error ... the slice! an easy read with great tips!

5 out of 5 stars He's not kidding...   August 8, 2008

When he says he'll add 10-20 yards to your drives, he's not kidding. I consider myself a bit longer off the tee than average. I assumed what I already knew would be in there. I was right to a degree, but Fister actually embellishes on those tips you all probably pick out of golf mags and hit the range with.

There are 2-3 chapters you read in this book. The rest is fluff about long drive competitions and such, but that doesn't make this book any less of a value.

I was able to hit the backstop of my local range on the roll (albeit infrequently) before I read this book. After just reading the chapter everyone buys this book for and applying 2 or 3 of the tips, I was hitting the backstop in the air (about 10 feet up or so) on the first couple of drives. I can't say how much it gave me, but it's 10 yards at least.

This doesn't just show you how to hit the heck out of it. There's a full chapter devoted to anti-slicing techniques, because long-and-wrong is almost as bad as just plain wrong (at least you're closer to the hole though).

You won't regret the money you spend on this book.

4 out of 5 stars Good book on how to get more distance from your driver   August 4, 2008

I found the book a quick read and easy to understand. I think you can take a few of the items that Sean lists in the book and definitely increase your potential for more distance.

My only negative was the pages on Sean himself. I know he is a great driver and a good story, but the pages should be on the instruction aspect. This is a common problem in golf instruction books.

Overall, a good book and good instruction. You will get out what you put into Sean's advice.

5 out of 5 stars best practical advice I've found in a golf book   March 26, 2008

Superb book. Read many golf instructional books over the years and this tops them all on useful advice on the full swing.Doesn't depart from most traditional teaching radically but has weeded through the tips we all regularly read to get down to the real meat of hitting the long ball. Pete
